The TPF device is easily configurable, its reporting period may be configurable for interval time (e.g. five minute) or it may be set to report upon request only, it can also be configured to send reports by SMS or to a dedicated web server. Independent of its configuration the TPF device can always be prompted to report its position.
A very long device stand-by time is achieved due to an innovative and efficient design with high integration and low component count.
If GPS positioning is available (generally when outdoors) the TPF Device will accurately report its current position, otherwise its position within the GSM environment, this gives accuracy to within a few hundred meters using a back-end system.
